Lilith Doorway

Very nice picture. XD It's the closest reference picture to the pose I am looking for. I'm trying to dra a character entering a room, leaning on the door slightly and in general looking hesitant. I want her first impression to be a bit frail and feel like she doesn't quite belong where she is standing at the moment.
I can think out and write out stories, but when it comes to art... I'm a bit less than amazing, I hope I can achieve what I listed above.
You're picture is not too dull. It's the start, the opening of the door to adventure. It's also very well drawn and I like the character's expression. Good luck with your art!
